Shelia announced on April 16, 2009 that she will be a a candidate in the 2010 Alabama Democratic Party open seat primary for the United States 7th Congressional District.
"I think it's going to be great not just for Jefferson County anymore, it's going to be great for the 7th Congressional District, 12 counties strong. "
"I want to take some of the things I've done here, some of the projects that have been very positive and empowering and take them on the road and make sure everybody can benefit like Jefferson County citizens have." |
